Been back in Alaska for almost a year and living and working in my village of Port Graham, Alaska
Joshua J. Anahonak
I’ll Wait for You There by Phil Wickham. It has been my favorite song to play/sing lately
Went for a job around the village today with some worship music (Phil Wickham and Ascend the Hill) to break in me new shoes. Having awesome fall weather: lots of sunshine and wind. Aaaah, I’ve missed this. Will probably go in another few days to wear off the inevitable soreness that will pop up.
A Child of God is not expected to be a stoic, for God’s grace takes away the heart of stone. When we endure trials, we feel the pain. Do not ask to be made hard and callous, for this is not how grace works. Grace makes us strong to bear trials, but we still have to bear them. Grace gives us patience and submission, not stoicism. We feel, ad we benefit by the feeling. There are some who will not cry when God chastens, and there are some ho will not yield when God strikes. Do not be like them! Be content to have Job’s suffering heart (Job 1:21). Feel the bitter spirit and the anguish of the soul which racked that blessed patriarch.
My dear friend, when grief presses you to the dust, worship there! Remember David’s words, “Pour out your heart.” But do not stop there; finish the quotation. “Pour out your heart before Him.” Turn your heart upside down, empty it, and let every drop run out. “Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” (Psalm 62:8).
When you are bowed down beneath a heavy burden of sorrow, worship and adore God there. In full surrender to His divine will, say with Job “Though He slay me, yet I will trust in Him.” (Job 13:15). This kind of worship subdues the will, arouses the affections, stirs the whole mind, and presents you to God in solemn consecration. This worship sweetens sorrow and takes away its sting.

This is indeedy a song that get stuck in your head. It is a song that demands a time of worship
This song has been stuck in my head since Alex introduced me to it on the way up to the Reality Men’s Retreat. Listening to it I come undone. My Prayer.
“How He Loves Us” - John Michael This song always breaks me down in a great way. Just let’s me know how much God loves us and gives me hope.
“Tear Down The Walls” - Hillsong United Another song that give me soooo much hope. One of the lyrics are: “I don’t need to see it to believe it.” Cause our faith and hope is the One Unseen, and when our faith will be our eyes. Our hope is set on an Eternal life that is not this world.
“Come Thou Fount” To keep my mind on the things of God and no wander too far. He Himself will give is all we need for life and godliness. We always try to do things by ourselves and usually end up burning ourselves up
“Found” - Hillsong A song that would help me with endurance and the waiting. I used to do a lot of jogging last year when I was waiting on what the Lord wanted me to do before I started up school again.
“Mystery” - Phil Whickam Another song that I used to run to again. It is an amazing song/prayer of hope to see God and all Majesty. If I were stranded on an island I would want to do exactly that

AD 33
1Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave.
2And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.
3And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.
4The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men.
5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.
6“He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.
7“Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”
8And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to report it to His disciples.
9And behold, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him.
Matthew 28:1-9
“Hands, like secrets, are the hardest thing to keep from you
Lines and phrases, like knives, your words can cut me through
Dismantle me down (repair)
You dismantle me
You dismantle me”
-Anberlin “Dismantle/Repair”
Amazing song, and this part is always my favorite.
Reminds me of Hebrews 4:12,13 - For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all arenaked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Secrets, the hardest thing to keep from you. Reminds me of Psalm 139:1-12
1O LORD, you havesearched me and known me! 2Youknow when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
5You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge istoo wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11If I say,”Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
Hard to hide from God when he is everywhere and knows your thoughts before and after they are known.
Hardly a wonder that we want to raise up our hands also in a plea of mercy. Psalm 28:2
Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy,
when I cry to you for help,
when I lift up my hands
toward your most holy sanctuary.
Or blessing Him for his mercy. Psalm 134:2
Lift up your hands to the holy place
and bless the LORD!
We are dismantled and repaired, brings to mind when Dave Lomas spoke about his year of Death, or Detox if you prefer, from missions work before participating in the birth of Reality San Fran. Quoting John 12:24,25.
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
How we are dismantled, we die in some ways, and yet we are repaired and resurrected into Eternal life by the work of the Holy Spirit.
If you have a chance, I recommend listening to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=welW04x876g
